Requirements:
• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or automated platform management, including:
• Solid experience deploying and administering container workloads and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes, Rancher, RKE2 and Docker.
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD, GitOps, pipeline automation and version control using enterprise tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD or Jenkins.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, provisioning hybrid resources with Terraform and automating system configurations with Ansible.
• Practical knowledge of managing hybrid infrastructure across enterprise virtualisation environments, including VMware, and major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automating routine operational tasks and tool integrations.
• Experience deploying and utilising observability and industry-standard monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strong track record of delivering cross-functional work in fast-moving Agile environments.

Duties & Role:
• Under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), the DevOps Engineer will focus on streamlining application delivery and bridging the gap between development and infrastructure:
• Administers container orchestration platforms using SUSE Rancher Prime and collaborates directly with development teams to seamlessly onboard applications into production environments.
• Designs, builds and maintains robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application testing, integration and delivery.
• Provisions and manages hybrid infrastructure across on-premises environments and the cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Establishes and maintains comprehensive monitoring, logging and alerting systems to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Embeds security best practices and compliance controls directly into deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations.
• Troubleshoots complex integration and deployment issues, acting as a technical bridge across Agile delivery teams.
